Instructions
Add 25 grams butter to a small saucepan and heat up over small heat until the butter has melted |
Add 250 grams wheat flour, 25 grams granulated sugar, 0.5 teaspoon salt and 8 grams baking powder into a large bowl and mix well |
Crack 1 egg into the bowl, add the liquid butter and 1 decilitre Fermento Golden Breeze into the bowl and mix all ingredients into a homogenous dough |
Roll out the dough with a rolling pin into a thin rectangle |
Cut the dough into strips about 4 cm wide and 15 cm long |
Fill a medium-sized frying pan about 1/3 with frying oil and heat up until the oil is hot |
Dip each dough strip into the hot oil for about 30 seconds until they are golden brown |
Dry the Chiacchiere on kitchen papers and sprinkle them with 1 teaspoon powdered sugar |
